i have bad credit and need a small loan until next payday. i dont want to get scammed by somebody and pay back tripple the principal amount borrowed. Anyone have any sites to recomend?

It's not a scam, but it's incredibly stupid to get one from them.

I have no sites to recommend. If you need a small loan to last you until pay day, don't go off the internet or head to a pay day or title loan site or location in your city. Notice where they are located--in the poorest part of town.

Talk to your family. Sell what you can. You can do without internet and TV for a month or two. If you need a loan to make it through the next few weeks, you need to learn how to budget. Until then, cut down what you need.

I won't call them scams, rip off, yes, but not really a scam, since you are agreeing to pay off the $50 you borrowed at 300% interest rate.

If you need a small loan, you are better off trying to borrow it from friends or family. If you can't get a loan from a bank, or friends, then you could pawn something. I would stay away from those payday loan places, because most are rip-off's. You borrow what you need, and when you pay it back, you have to pay then interest along with it, then you find yourself short again, so you have to borrow more money, and then the cycle continues all over again, until you realize you owe more than you make.

OK - payday loans are not the ideal way to raise money but, if you are desperate for cash in a genuine emergency and you have no other way of raising the money, they can be a lifeline. And they don't do credit checks.

Just be sure to pay the loan back on time. That way you won't pay triple on your borrowings. And don't borrow again to pay back the first loan!
