Payday lenders are threatening to prosecute me for fraud can they do this?

Back in 2004 I got a few payday loans and I guess I got more than I can handle. In early 2005 my bank forced me to close my account, and I had to take out a loan through them to pay them back. So after that I opened a new account and had my direct deposit changed. Now I am getting phone calls from these places threatening to pursue criminal charges because they have my social security number in a database, and that a warrant was going to be sent out for my arrest? Then they ask me how I want to take care of it, of course I make payment arrangements. I am afraid of my phone ringing because now that I am paying these people I can't afford to pay any more other ones until this one is taken care of. If I can't pay can they have me prosecuted? I am scared that if I don't have the money that I am going to go to jail, what should I do?
