Payday bill collector question?

Ok I made arrangements to pay a payday loan bill collector. I really did not come up with the payments he did. Well I could not pay the payments he wanted so I paid like 50 dollars a pay check. he called me at work twice and I told him to stop. I gave him my cell no. he called me on that and I told him that I would pay him 50 untill I paid it off, and he told me to go and make some more payday loans so i could pay this cause it was a hot check, and i would be taken to court, and all. I have researched this and I thold him that It was not a bad check and that it was just like a loan, and that he would take tha 50 bucks a paycheck and that was all I could pay. I also told him to stop telling me that I could be prsecuted for bad check casue that was a crock. He is trying to get me to pay the enitre amount all in once amount. Can I pay the 50 bucks a paycheck or what. This guys is about to drive me crazy.

If the terms of the agreement were that you would pay in full the amount at a cetain date, then he doesn't have to accept partial payment..

And if he cashes the check and its %26quot;bad.%26quot; That is a felony.

As for him calling you at work, tell him he is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires that debt collectors treat you fairly and prohibits certain methods of debt collection. Of course, the law does not erase any legitimate debt you owe.

A collector may contact you in person, by mail, telephone, telegram, or fax. However, a debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., unless you agree. A debt collector also may not contact you at work if the collector knows that your employer disapproves of such contacts.

If you authorized a debit or wrote him a check and did not have the money that day it is the same thing as a bad check. Is it possible to get an extension? Likely not at this point. Just pay them.
